​Project Overview​

D Squared Infrastructure (D2i) is providing traffic engineering services for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise’s Resurfacing and Safety Improvements project along the Seminole Expressway from MP 50 to MP 55. As a subconsultant to KEITH, D2i is supporting the project through the development of signalization, roadway lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) plans and supporting engineering analyses.

Key Services

D2i’s ITS services include the development of fiber optic, grounding, surge suppression, and lightning protection plans; CCTV and Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection System (WWVDS) details and cross sections; Existing Roadway Condition Assessment Reports; voltage drop calculations; and evaluations of ITS poles and overhead structures. The team also prepared Modified Special Provisions and Technical Special Provisions for the WWVDS. Roadway lighting services include voltage drop calculations, lighting quantities, intersection lighting plan sheets, and service point details for load centers. Signalization services include traffic data collection and the development of Temporary Traffic Control Plan (TTCP) signalization plans for intersections, including pedestrian signal and temporary detection sheets.
