​Project Overview​

D Squared Infrastructure is providing signing, pavement marking, signalization, and lighting engineering services for the Forest Lakes Boulevard Phase III project, extending from SR 580 (State Street West) to SR 584 (Tampa Road) in Pinellas County. Serving as a subconsultant to WSP USA Inc., D2i supports the delivery of corridor and intersection improvements focused on enhancing safety, traffic operations, and multimodal connectivity along this key roadway.

The project includes full signal reconstruction at major intersections, development of coordinated system and preemption timings, and preparation of construction-ready signing, pavement marking, and lighting plans. Field investigations and coordination with maintaining agencies inform design decisions to ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and operational requirements.

Key Services

D Squared Infrastructure provides comprehensive traffic engineering analysis and design services, including signing and pavement marking analysis and plan preparation; traffic signal and interconnect design; system timing development; overhead street name sign design; pole elevation and mounting height analysis; roadway and intersection lighting design; lighting design analysis reports and voltage drop calculations; preparation of quantities and cost estimates at multiple design milestones; and quality assurance and quality control to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards. All design work is prepared using Pinellas County Civil 3D design criteria.​
