Project Overview
D Squared Infrastructure is providing General Engineering Consultant (GEC) support services for FDOT District Seven under Contract CAC74, supporting transportation systems planning and engineering coordination efforts for major interchange and corridor projects within the district, including improvements in the Downtown Tampa interchange area.
Under this districtwide GEC contract, D2i supports FDOT with technical review, systems planning, and coordination services to advance complex transportation projects through planning, design, and implementation. Services are delivered through task work orders and focus on supporting FDOT’s objectives for safety, operational efficiency, constructability, and long-term system performance within constrained urban environments.
Key Services
During the FDOT District Seven GEC contract, D Squared Infrastructure provides transportation systems planning and engineering support services, including technical analysis, coordination, and documentation to assist FDOT in advancing interchange and corridor improvements in urban settings.
Services include systems planning support for traffic operations and roadway improvements; technical review and coordination related to interchange and corridor projects; participation in project meetings and agency coordination efforts; preparation of supporting technical documentation; and quality assurance support to ensure consistency with FDOT standards, criteria, and program objectives. D2i's role supports FDOT’s ability to evaluate alternatives, manage risk, and implement improvements efficiently within the Downtown interchange area and across the district.
