Project Overview​

D Squared Infrastructure provided traffic engineering, signalization, lighting, and quality control services under the FDOT District Seven Design-Build Push Button (DBPB) V contract, a task work order-driven contract that delivers rapid-response safety and operational improvements throughout the District. The contract included design-build work orders for access management improvements, traffic signal reconstruction, lighting retrofits, freight enhancements, and small-capacity improvement projects with individual construction costs of less than $1 million. Services were provided on multiple work orders to improve roadway safety, operational efficiency, and multimodal mobility across the District.

Key Services

Services included the design and quality control of access management improvements, traffic signal redesign, lighting retrofits, freight improvements, and small-capacity operational enhancements. Work also included shoulder widening, turn lane extensions, milling and resurfacing, traffic signal detection replacement, installation of new box spans and mast arm traffic signals, pedestrian hybrid beacon design, LED roadway lighting retrofits, and traffic signal modifications. Additional services included signing and pavement marking updates, lighting design, traffic detection improvements, and coordination with design-build partners to deliver rapid-response safety and operational improvements throughout the District.
