Project Overview
D Squared Infrastructure provided traffic studies and minor roadway design services under a districtwide on-call contract for FDOT District Seven. The contract supported operational and safety improvements at multiple locations throughout the district through targeted roadway modifications, access management enhancements, and safety upgrades.
Services were delivered through task work orders and focused on cost-effective improvements to improve traffic flow, reduce crash potential, and address localized operational deficiencies in accordance with FDOT standards.
Key Services
Services included project management and quality assurance oversight; traffic studies and operational analysis; preparation of minor roadway and highway design plans; access management and median modifications; turn lane design and extensions; roadway widening, milling, and resurfacing; design of guardrail systems and approach terminals; replacement of legacy barrier wall end treatments; and development of temporary traffic control plans. D Squared Infrastructure also provided Engineer of Record services for multiple task work orders and coordinated design activities to support timely implementation of district safety and operational improvements.

US 41B / SR 685 (N Highland Avenue) – Lane Elimination
Minor roadway widening, milling and resurfacing, removal and replacement of variable-width concrete channelizing islands, and temporary traffic control. -
SR 54 – Guardrail Installation
Removal of legacy barrier wall end treatments, installation of thrie-beam retrofit connections, extension of guardrail for approximately 1,500 feet, and design of standard guardrail approach terminals. -
SR 44 – Access Management Improvements
Median widening, new left-turn lane construction, turn lane extensions, and conversion of a full median opening to a directional median opening. -
US 41 at Acline Drive
Southbound and northbound left-turn lane extensions, bi-directional median widening, and milling and resurfacing.
