US 27 Milling and Resurfacing

Project Overview
D Squared Infrastructure provided design project management and Engineer of Record (EOR) services for milling and resurfacing improvements along approximately two miles of US 27, extending from the Palm Beach County Line to the Industrial Canal. The project focused on improving roadway safety, operations, and multimodal accessibility through targeted geometric and roadside enhancements.
In addition to resurfacing, the project incorporated corridor-wide safety upgrades to address operational deficiencies, improve shoulder continuity, and bring pedestrian facilities into compliance with current ADA standards.
Key Services
Services included design project management and Engineer of Record services for roadway and traffic plans; development of milling and resurfacing design plans; safety improvements including construction of paved inside shoulders throughout the project limits; widening for keyhole lanes at three locations; removal of acceleration lanes to improve operations; replacement of all existing guardrail to meet current standards; and upgrades to pedestrian facilities to ensure ADA compliance. D Squared Infrastructure also provided design coordination, quality oversight, and documentation to support implementation in accordance with FDOT criteria.
