​Project Overview​

The SR 25 (US 27) Milling and Resurfacing project extends from the Palm Beach County Line to Industrial Canal in Hendry County. The project is focused on improving the existing roadway along this regional corridor through resurfacing improvements, helping maintain the condition and performance of US 27 for continued travel. As a Design-Build project for FDOT, the work encompasses the design, permitting, and post-design services needed to support delivery of the improvements.

Key Services

Services included design project management, project general and project common tasks, roadway analysis and plan development, utility coordination, signing and pavement marking analysis and plans, and 3D modeling. D2i developed milling and resurfacing plans incorporating corridor-wide safety improvements, including construction of paved inside shoulders throughout the project limits, widening for keyhole lanes at three locations, removal of acceleration lanes to improve operations, replacement of existing guardrail to meet current standards, and upgrades to pedestrian facilities to improve ADA compliance. D2i also provided design coordination, quality oversight, and project documentation to support delivery in accordance with FDOT criteria.​​
